A opportunity to explore one of the area's most historic buildings, former home of the Cromwell family and Earls of Sandwich.
Explore with this tour an ancient building which was once a nunnery, which was then was converted into a grand mansion by the Cromwell family in the 1500s. In 1627 it became the home of the Montagu family before being converted into a school in 1970. The House is linked with the Earls of Sandwich and has a number of interesting historical connections and some beautiful architecture.
The tour lasts about an hour; please note that there are stairs and parts of the building are not accessible for wheelchairs. Gravel pathways outside may also restrict accessibility for some visitors. Tickets cost £6 and are limited -
