The Wandering Minstrels are performing Gilbert & Sullivan at Chatteris church. They will sing, act and dance their way through many G&S Operas including “The Pirates of Penzance”, “Ruddigore”, “The Gondoliers”, “HMS Pinafore”, “Utopia, Limited”, “The Grand Duke”, “Iolanthe” and “The Mikado”. Artistes appearing in this concert are Alexandra Ferrari, Emma Stratton, Charles Mills, Stephen Godward and Tim Hurst-Brown, with Peter Hewitt at the piano. Tickets are £10, which are available from Stephen Parr on 01354 693160 or via fenlandparr@gmail.com. This event, which begins at 7.30pm, is being organised by the Chatteris Music Society. The concert is a lighthearted presentation of excerpts from the Gilbert and Sullivan comic operas, played in period costume and performed in traditional style. It is bound to be extremely popular, so members of the public are advised to purchase their tickets early in order to avoid disappointment. Don’t miss what promises to be a fun-filled evening!
