This year’s event will shine a spotlight on Alconbury’s military past, featuring an exhibition of artefacts from its World War II and Cold War-era buildings.
"The Community Association’s Family Fun Day running alongside ensures a great mix of culture and entertainment for residents and visitors, with lots for all ages and interests to enjoy."

A talk from the Airfield Research Group will take place at 3pm, and pre-booked tours of the Cold War Avionics Building are already fully booked.
One of the day’s highlights will be a Dakota flypast by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, scheduled for the afternoon, weather permitting.

The event is part of Heritage Open Days, England’s largest festival on history and culture.

Alconbury Weald Community Association will also host a Family Fun Day alongside the heritage activities. Visitors can enjoy food trucks, Pimms, scones, face painting, live music, and more. Entry to the event is free, and most activities are available on a drop-in basis. Free parking will be available behind The Incubators, with signage provided on the day.
