Screen St Ives, presents their July film "One Battle After Another," directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, is a dark satire following Bob (Leonardo DiCaprio), a former left-wing revolutionary living quietly until his daughter is kidnapped. Set in a fascist, dystopian America, Bob is hunted by “Lockjaw” (Sean Penn), a manic military man obsessed with Bob’s former partner. The film is a chaotic, comedic thriller exploring generational trauma, the failure of 60s radicalism, and surveillance culture as Bob attempts to rescue his daughter
