An evening of “hot club” jazz, inspired by Django Reinhardt with Cambridge jazz guitarist Louis Thorne.
A longtime Django afficionado, Louis Thorne's gypsy jazz guitar playing has been used on T.V. and film and features on the Young Punx electro-swing track “Rhythm is Wild”. By a twist of fate he is also on a compilation album with Stephane Grapelli.
Expect a mixture of 30s and 40s classics alongside some more contemporary tunes, given a gypsy jazz twist Tickets from the All About Soul cafe website.
