There’s only one place to be when the festive season begins and that’s Huntingdon’s Christmas Market, returning to the Market Square from Friday 21st November to Sunday 23rd November 2025.
From the first notes sung by local school choirs on Friday afternoon, to the moment the Christmas lights sparkle to life at 6:30pm, this is where Christmas truly begins. The market opens from 12 noon on Friday, with a whole weekend of festive shopping, entertainment, and seasonal treats continuing right through to Sunday.
Quiet Hours will take place from 10–11am on Saturday and Sunday, providing a calmer, gentler environment for visitors who may have additional or sensory needs. During this time, lighting, sound, and activity levels are adjusted to help everyone enjoy the market comfortably.
Across the weekend, visitors can enjoy a wide range of community entertainment, including performances from local dance schools, choirs, and other community groups on the market stage. From festive songs to energetic routines, these performances add sparkle and fun for all ages, making every visit a memorable #ChristmasMarketMoment.
With dozens of stalls offering handmade gifts, crafts, and delicious food and drink, the event brings together local favourites and new traders alike. The smell of festive spices, the sound of carols, and the sight of the Market Square glowing with lights all combine to make it clear that Christmas starts with Huntingdon.
Cllr Audrey McAdam, the Mayor of Huntingdon said: “Every year, our Christmas Market and lights switch-on mark the start of something special. It’s a time when the community comes together to celebrate, share traditions, and make memories and that’s what makes Huntingdon’s Christmas so magical.”
Organised by Huntingdon Town Council, the market promises a weekend full of festive spirit and local pride. Wrap up warm, bring your family and friends, and join us in the Market Square because Christmas starts with Huntingdon.
