On Friday 12 December 2025, the Coneygear Centre, managed by Huntingdon Town Council, proudly supported Huntingdon Community Action Projects (HCAP) with the delivery of its annual 100 Hampers Project, providing vital Christmas support to families across the local community.

While many organisations offer help during the festive period, HCAP’s project is distinctive in that it operates entirely through a referral-only process, ensuring support reaches those most in need. The initiative is made possible solely through the exceptional level of support HCAP receives from its partner organisations. Contributions to the project include financial donations, gifts and food donations, officer time on the day, packing and delivering hampers, wrapping presents, and making calls to coordinate deliveries. The scale of the operation is significant, and the success of the project reflects the dedication and generosity of everyone involved.

HCAP and Huntingdon Town Council would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all partners, volunteers, and supporters who helped make the 2025 100 Hampers Project possible and ensured local families could experience some extra support this Christmas.
The following organisations made financial contributions to the project:

Alan Boswell Group, Co-op, King of the Belgians Beer Fest Committee, Notcutts, and
Places for People.

Donations of presents and food were generously provided by:

Co-op, Lidl, Godmanchester Foodbank, Dale Abblitts from Dairy Farm, The Buckingham
Emergency Food Appeal, Huntingdon Primary and Nursery Federation, Aliaxis, Dunelm,
Buckden Towers, The Christmas Giving Tree Appeal (a fund within North West Anglia
Hospitals), Project Linus UK, and Ade and Emma, a local couple from Hartford.

Tracey Holliday, Chair of HCAP, said: “What a fantastic team effort from everyone involved. This simply could not happen without the generosity of everyone, from placing food orders, collecting and delivering stock, wrapping presents, delivering hampers, and generally being amazing.”

Shilpa Desai-Sakaldip, Coneygear Centre Manager, said: “I’m so proud to be part of this project. The contribution we’ve received this year has been truly amazing. I must say a special thank you to the Grounds Team for collecting the huge amount of stock from Lidl, which was extremely heavy!”

HCAP and Huntingdon Town Council would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all partners, volunteers, and supporters who helped make the 2025 100 Hampers Project possible and ensured local families could experience some extra support this Christmas.
