St Peter’s Church, is a fascinating building with its own special and unique charm and is the gem of the Offords.
We will be displaying information on local rural history including farming.
• Where were the farms and who were the owners?
• How big were the farms and what type were they?
• How many farm workers were employed on each farm?
What was their working day like?
What was their pay?
Where did they live in the village?
Many interesting stories and facts to discover.
This is also an ideal opportunity to appreciate the history and architecture of our near 900-year-old local church with some interesting stories associated with the monuments, so if you have never been into ‘the church with the spire’ please come along.
Volunteers in attendance to guide you.
Hope to see you in St Peter’s over the weekend and don’t forget it’s free entry but donations would be welcome.
