The Christophers (2025) is directed by Steven Soderbergh and written by Ed Solomon, starring Ian McKellen and Michaela Coel. Julian Sklar is a well-known painter based in London, elderly and eccentric, whose reputation has faded with age. His estranged children hire a skilled art forger to complete an abandoned series of paintings so they can sell them for profit once he dies. A sharp, character-driven black comedy blending art, family dysfunction, and deception, anchored by a standout McKellen performance.
