The skies kept looking ominous and grey, but the rain held off and Ouse Valley Radio had very successful day at the Godmanchester Apple Day on 10th October 2026.
The plant nursery is such a beautiful site to hold a community event of this kind. The organiser's said that it was a bigger event than last year and thank you to them for a job well done.
Our Sue, Judith and Bobby manned the Ouse Valley Radio stall and sold raffle tickets. The first prize was generously donated by the Market Kitchen Restaurant at the Delta Hotel’s Marriott Hotel in Huntingdon which was a dinner for 2, the second prize was a luxurious throw and the 3rd prize was 2 tickets to St Ives Judados comedy Night at the Corn Exchange.
The winning tickets were drawn by Apple Day organiser, Nicola Hood.
First prize: won by Pam
2nd Prize won by Lilly
3rd Prize won by Charles
The raffle raised £130 which will go towards the station’s running costs. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets.

Listeners acclaim the Huntingdonshire Nostalgia show.
